Teaming up with her rapper alter ego, Selena reveals the rap self-congratulatory song in full and throws some expletive lyrics in it.
An extended promo video for 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards promo has arrived, featuring its host Selena Gomez and her rapper alter ego. While the previous clip is tame and PG-rated, this longer one sees the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star rapping self-congratulatory lyrics with some expletive words.
Parents need no worry though since Selena gets bleeped when dropping the F words in some part of the song. Also, there is a warning at the beginning of the video that reads, "Some of the Selenas in this video are fictional, any similarities to the actual Selena are purely coincidental."
"Listen up, listen up," she spits it out. "It's f**king crazy growing up in this industry, I was still a baby when I hustled up in Tennessee/ F**k you if you dare stand in front of me, but that's okay you see cause now I'm the queen/ No, no no I don't wanna be misunderstood/ I hope you haters know I've always done the best I could."
She continues, "Don't listen to her Selena don't let her get in your head, but then again I wish you f**king would/ I dedicate this song to everyone in me/ Selena G I'm known for my modesty/ I dedicate this song to everyone in me/ You got the gitz of the song now sing along/ Congratulations to me, Who's the hostess with the mostest? Right."
The upcoming EMAs will be held on November 6 at Belfast's Odyssey Arena. Selena is nominated in new category, Biggest Fans, along with the likes of 30 Seconds to Mars, Justin Bieber, Lady GaGa and Paramore. Confirmed to perform at the event are Coldplay, Jessie J, LMFAO and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In another news related to Selena, her single "Love You Like a Love Song" has been remixed by Grammy-nominated producer and remixer Dave Aude. A music video featuring the revamped tune has come out via Idolator for fans' listening and viewing pleasure.
