First trailer for "This Means War" has been made available for viewing pleasure via Apple. The action-packed promo video highlights the rivalry between Tom Hardy and Chris Pine's characters in winning the affection of Reese Witherspoon's Lauren. In several sexy scenes, Witherspoon is seen getting intimate with Hardy, while in some others, she is seen making out with Pine.

To open in U.S. theaters on February 17, 2012, this action comedy tells a story about two spies that fall in love with the same woman. As their best friends' bond disintegrates, their ensuing battle escalates. McG is tackling the helming duty, while Chelsea Handler and Til Schweiger are in supporting cast.

McG recently shared to USA Today about how he persuaded Witherspoon to star in the movie. "I told her, 'You're America's sweetheart. Women love you. Men... like you. I want men to covet you'," he remembered. "She took a deep breath and said, 'Go for it'."

As for Witherspoon's sexy scenes with both Hardy and Pine, the "Terminator Salvation" helmer explained that the blond beauty didn't use body double. He said, "Those are really her legs, those are really her abs. That's her making out with Chris Pine and Tom Hardy."

McG added that he and the "Walk the Line" actress had to "establish trust" before she agreed to do the steamy scenes. He explained, "I love strong female characters, and she had seen 'Charlie's Angels'. Between her physical readiness and the manner we photographed her, you get a sexy takeaway. The audience is the beneficiary."
