Taken on Saturday night, October 1, the footage that capture the filming of the Christopher Nolan-directed movie see the Caped Crusader zooming through the streets of Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - Batman has been taped zooming through the streets on his Batpod while over thirty police cruisers are hot on his pursuit. The scene was taken during the shooting of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Los Angeles, which was doubled for Gotham City, on Saturday night, October 1. There were also two helicopters seen hovering in the sky during the filming.

The highly anticipated Batman movie has been continuing with its production in Los Angeles since last week. On Wednesday, September 28, it was reported that Cillian Murphy was spotted on the set located in United Station, which sparked rumors that the actor will reprise his role as supervillain Scarecrow.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Nolan, the brother of director Christopher Nolan, has commented on a number of spy footage and rumors related to "The Dark Knight Rises" that popped up online. "It was great because we were working [on 'Person of Interest']. So that was the only way I was able to get down to set was to watch it on YouTube!" he told IGN.

Furthermore, Jonathan added, "Chris loves to shoot on these IMAX cameras, these massive cameras. As soon as you release something in the theaters, like a trailer, people go in and they record it with their iPhone or a camera, and they put it online. But when we first released that IMAX prologue for 'The Dark Knight', the image was so big that no one could record the whole thing with their camera."

Set to open in U.S theaters on July 12, 2012, the superhero film stars Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader and Tom Hardy as the villainous Bane. Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Morgan Freeman and Marion Cotillard are among the supporting cast.
