All members of the hilarious gang from the "American Pie" have signed up to reunite for "American Reunion", but each of them receives different amount of salary from Universal Pictures. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tara Reid who plays Victoria "Vicky" Lathum is the one who gets the lowest pay.
Reid reportedly is on board the reunion movie with a check close to the $250,000 that the studio intially offered. Meanwhile, the actors who get the highest pay are Jason Biggs and Seann William Scott. Biggs and Scott receive $5 million each for reprising their roles as James "Jim" Levenstein and Steve Stifler respectively.
Trailing behind them is Alyson Hannigan, who gets $3 million for returning as Michelle Flaherty-Levenstein. Veteran actor Eugene Levy is also paid with the same amount of salary as Hannigan, despite the fact that he was the one who helped make the property a billion-dollar franchise.
The rest of the cast members are being paid in range of $500,000 to $750,000. They are including Chris Klein, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Natasha Lyonne, Jennifer Coolidge, Mena Suvari and Shannon Elizabeth. A representative for the studio, however, claims that the figures are "inaccurate", but declines to make further comment.
Directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, "American Reunion" centers on the gang who return to East Great Falls for their high school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they'll discover what has changed, who hasn't, and that time and distance can't break the bonds of friendship. The comedy film is scheduled to arrive in U.S. theaters on April 6, 2012.
