Assuring that he still wants to get the 'Alice in Wonderland' actress appearing on the musical series, the show's creator reveals they are going to have a meeting in the next couple weeks.

AceShowbiz - Anne Hathaway will land a role on "Glee", after all. Following the "Love and Other Drugs" beauty's statement that she had not heard from Ryan Murphy again regarding her potential guest starring stint, the FOX series' creator has recently said that the talks are still going on and they will further discuss her role soon.

"I'm meeting with Anne in the next couple weeks," Murphy told MTV News on the red carpet of 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards last Sunday, September 18. "We're not going to do guest stars at all the first half of the season, but I would love to work with her, and she supposedly has the whole thing mapped out," he added before gushing, "I'm curious as to what she wants to do. I love her. I think she's great."

Back in January, Hathaway was informally offered to make an appearance on the show by Murphy. She later offered an idea that she could play "Kurt's long-lost aunt, his mother's sister who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality."

However, months after their initial meeting, the 28-year-old actress never heard from Murphy again. "Ryan Murphy, I'm calling you out: I wanna be on 'Glee'. I've got my songs ready to go," she said in August. "I'm a very open, uncloseted theater nerd."

"Glee" season 3 itself will kick off on Tuesday, September 20 at 8 P.M. on FOX.
