Out of the ridiculous amount of nods they receive this year, duo Eduardo Cabra and Rene Perez are vying for the top honor along with Enrique Iglesias, Shakira and more.
Calle 13 dominate nomination list of the 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. Already bagging at least 10 trophies in the past years, the Puerto Rican duo comprised of Eduardo Cabra and Rene Perez have a chance to be a big winner again this year by scoring a total of 10 nods.
The step brothers are vying for Album of the Year, thanks to "Entren Los Que Quieran". They battle it out with the likes of Alex Ubago, Lena Burke and Jorge Villamizar ("Alex, Lena Y Jorge"), Franco De Vita ("En Primera Fila"), Enrique Iglesias ("Euphoria"), and Shakira ("Sale El Sol").
They are additionally nominated for Best Urban Music Album and Producer of the Year for the same album. The other nods include Record and Song of the Year ("Latinoamerica"), Best alternative song and Best Short Form Music Video ("Calma Pueblo"), Best Tropical Song ("Vamo' a Portarnos Mall") and Best Urban Song ("Baile de los Pobres").
Following Calle's domination is producer/engineer Rafa Arcaute who scores six nods and shares one of them with the duo in Producer of the Year. Franco trails behind him with five, Marco Antonio Solis gets four, Ricky Martin is one of those who receives three, and Wisin & Yandel join the group with two nods.
