Words on the street are, the engagement of the 'House M.D.' actress and the former 'Arrested Development' actor has taken place several weeks ago.


Amber Tamblyn gets one step closer to tying the knot with longtime boyfriend David Cross. The actress playing Tibby Rollins in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" has got engaged to the Tobias Funke of "Arrested Development", her representative confirmed to PEOPLE.

No other details of the Hollywood couple's engagement have been disclosed, and it is still unclear whether they have set a wedding date. Though so, it is suggested that they have been keeping their engagement a secret for a while. A source close to Amber told Life & Style, "They've been engaged for weeks."

Words that Amber and David are in a relationship first circulated in early 2008, but it wasn't until 2009 that the two stepped out as a couple. This will be the first marriage for the 28-year-old actress and her 47-year-old fiance. Amber herself, who is also known for her role on "Joan of Arcadia", currently stars opposite Hugh Laurie on "House M.D."
