Starz has debuted the first full trailer of "Spartacus: Vengeance" to follow-up the teaser which was screened at San Diego Comic-Con. It sees Liam McIntyre's Spartacus in many bloody action scenes as he is determined to take revenge over what happened to his wife.

Also featured in the sneak peek are Viva Bianca's Ilithyia and Lucy Lawless' Lucretia. The former is screaming in a shock in one scene, while the latter appears with a scruffy look.

Speaking of Spartacus' transformation from the first season, showrunner Steven S. DeKnight said at the Comic-Con, "In season 2, Spartacus learns how to be a leader. He goes from a guy with an axe to grind to being a leader."

Meanwhile, Lucretia will be brought up by Spartacus on his vengeance. Lawless herself has said that her character is bereft after having lost her husband and her child, but she is going to "claw her way back to some platform of power."

A second season of the drama fantasy series, which was previously called "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", will premiere in January 2012. Starz has yet to announce the exact date.

Yeah wish him the best but Andy made the role feel real. Spartacus was meant for Andy plain and simple.

I wish Liam all the best in Spartacus' sandals. And I'm stunned how camera and lighting achieve to make Liam acutally look like Andy in some scenes. But - I do miss Andy's guarded but brooding intensity already now, and badly. His Spartacus radiated a distinctive power that seems impossible to be copied by means of acting - and I am shure, if anyone could do it, it would be Liam. Which leads me to the assumption, there was much more Andy to the "Blood and Sand"-Spartacus than I thought. And Andy as a person has much more of his Spartacus in himself than he might know. So, good luck to both of you Spartacus-impersonators. May you both win all your battles.
