Coming in to replace Laurence Fishburne, the former 'Becker' actor is pictured with his 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' co-stars Marg Helgenberger and Jorja Fox.

AceShowbiz - Starting the 12th season of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", Ted Danson will take the charge as the lead investigator. A first look at him handling a case is now unveiled as he is pictured on the set at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas on July 25 along with returning star Marg Helgenberger and newly promoted regular cast Jorja Fox.

Danson is cast as the new head of the graveyard shift at the crime lab after Laurence Fishburne announced his departure from the long-running crime series last June. His character moves to Las Vegas from the Portland crime lab, and is described as a bit more light-hearted than Laurence's Ray Langston.

"CSI" will return for its twelfth season on Wednesday, September 21, at 10 P.M. on CBS. It will see the team still grappling with the professional and personal fallout from last season's take-down of serial killer Nate Haskell.
