The 'California Gurls' hitmaker looks adorable wearing a Smurfette mini dress when coming to the world premiere of the movie in the Big Apple.
Katy Perry turned people's heads when attending world premiere of "The Smurfs" at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Sunday, July 24 in New York City. The "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" singer showed off her legs and hourglass figure in a strapless mini dress with a sequin-sprinkled picture of Smurfette, her character in the movie.
Sporting new blond hair, the wife of comedian Russell Brand completed her chic look with blue pumps and painted each of her perfectly-manicured nails with Smurf characters. She was all smiles when walking down the blue carpet, posing for awaiting photographers and fans before entering the venue for the screening.
Also coming to the event were Sofia Vergara, Jayma Mays and Neil Patrick Harris. The "Modern Family" star opted a long purple dress with matching bangles and clutch. The "Glee" beauty chose a tiny green dress, and the "How I Met Your Mother" actor who tagged along his partner David Bartka looked sharp in a tux.
Celebrity guests included reality star Olivia Palermo and model/actress Brooke Shields. Olivia wore a brown off-shoulder top and long skirt. Meanwhile, Brooke who brought her husband and their two little daughters dressed in a sleeveless top and short skirt.
"The Smurfs" follows the adventures of some Smurfs as they are transported from their magical village to Central Park through a magical portal. It will be released in theaters across the United States on July 29. Katy provides the voice to a CGI Smurf character along with Jonathan Winters, George Lopez and Alan Cumming. Meanwhile, Sofia, Jayma and Neil play live-action characters.
