The first trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man" has been leaked ahead of its official world debut at Comic Con. Despite its bootleg quality, the video manages to reveal that the upcoming movie will be darker than Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy.
The trailer opens with a scene which sees young Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) being abandoned by his parents before it switches to nowadays moments with teen Peter. There are glimpse of Aunt May (Sally Field), Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen), Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) and Dr. Curt Conners (Rhys Ifans), but his alter ego The Lizard is not revealed yet in this preview.
The rest of the trailer shows Peter showcasing his super power after he is bitten by a spider. He is running, jumping, swinging through the city and climbing the buildings, which are seen from his perspective.
"The Amazing Spider-Man" is directed by Marc Webb and revolves around Peter Parker who is grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises. Made in 3D, the movie will head into theaters across the nation on July 3, 2012.
