The former contestant of 'American Idol' who finished ninth at the singing competition showcases her new single live beside covering other artists' song in solo and group performances.

AceShowbiz - 2011 "American Idol" summer tour has officially been kicked off on July 6. Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone and Thia Megia made their live performances in front of their fans in the Salt Lake City.

One of the highlights from the Wednesday concert was the live showcase of Pia's debut single "This Time". The rumored girlfriend of Mark Ballas gave concertgoers the first listen to the Ester Dean-written single after Naima finished her solo set with a rendition of Jennifer Lopez's "On the Floor".

According to USA Today, the song starts with little more than an acoustic guitar and a simple beat. It later steadily builds to a big, singalong chorus, anchored by the lyrical hook of "This time, I'm gonna do it my way." The song will officially be released on July 12, and is expected to be performed by Pia in each of "Idol" tour stop.

The concert at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, UT was opened with the girls singing Lady GaGa's "Born This Way". It was followed by solo and duet performances from those eleven former contestants of the "Idol" season 10. Pia tackled Alicia Keys' "Empire State of Mind" before collaborating with Stefano in Rihanna's "California King Bed".

Once Pia exited the stage, Paul proceeded the show with Rod Stewart's "Maggie Mae". He later gave the spotlight to Thia who continued to rock the house with Selena Gomez's "Who Says". The second group performance that night came from the ladies again. They did Janelle Monae's fun "Tightrope".

From the boys' camp, they played "Animal" by Utah's Neon Trees in a group performance. Casey played his own version of Santana's "Smooth" and Maroon 5's "Harder to Breath". James performed Muse's "Uprising", and later joined the boys doing Cee-Lo Green's "Forget You", Lauren did Carrie Underwood's "Flat on the Floor", and Jacob performed another Luther Vandross song.
