Being honest to his fans, Dexter claims he is 'renewed, recharged, refocused' as his eyes turn to red.
Showtime has released a new promo for "Dexter" season 6, teasing how the title character will be seen next. "I wanted to be the first to tell you, I'm feeling like my own self again. Renewed, recharged, refocused. With nothing to stop me from being me," so the serial killer says as his eyes turn to red.
While in the fifth season fans could see the softer side of Michael C. Hall's character, it looks like his killer instinct will return in the new chapter. Showtime president David Nevins has hinted this before, saying "Dexter this season will be in some ways a return to the Dexter that you've seen in the early seasons."
"There's a really interesting story and journey that he's going to be on this year. There's going to be some degree of getting back to his roots," he added. On the villain, Nevins gushed, "It is not one big bad. There's one interesting story that will move through the season, and it will be cast very interestingly, but it's not exactly that one person."
"Dexter" will return in the fall, but no premiere date has been announced yet. The sixth season will feature at least three new characters, with one of them possibly becoming a new love interest for Dexter.
