The men, ages 30 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and rob the singer as well as for possessing 'offensive weapons and being equipped to steal.'
Joss Stone almost became the victim of a murder plot orchestrated by two men caught outside her house in South of England. These men were planning a bizarre and violent attack against the singer but were stopped by British police after Stone's neighbors reported their suspicious activity in the neighborhood.
Police, who arrested the men on Tuesday, June 14 morning, found swords, rope and a body bag in the men's possession. The authorities also found detailed maps and aerial photos of Stone's rural home which is located in Cullompton area. The singer remains unharmed but it is not known whether she was even at home during the incident.
"Police attended an address in [the village of] Cullompton yesterday morning [Tuesday] after alert residents notified officers about a suspicious-looking vehicle," the police's statement reads. "Officers attended the area at around 10 am and subsequently arrested the occupants of a red Fiat Punto. Major crime detectives are continuing to investigate."
Stone is aware of the arrest and police keep her updated with the developments. "Our officers are currently carrying out reassurance patrols and it's important to stress that no properties have been burgled and no individuals have been harmed," the statement continued.
