AceShowbiz - New featurettes for "Green Lantern" have been unveiled. The first one, entitled "The World of Green Lantern", shows how the film is created, as well as offers a look at new scenes. For example, there is a scene where Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris enjoy a romantic outing on the top of a building while Hal wears his Green Lantern costume.
The second featurette, entitled "Discovering Oa", focuses on the development of the visual effects of Oa. Not only does the video offer the look at the original production arts and the finished scenes, but it also provides new footage, including where Hal falls from a cliff during his first times at the fantasy world.
"Green Lantern" follows Hal (Ryan Reynolds), an ordinary man chosen by a dying alien named Abin Sur (Temuera Morrison) to receive a green energy-powered ring used for protecting the planet. As a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the universe, the fate of Earth lies in Hal's hands.
Blake Lively stars as Hal's love interest, while Mark Strong takes the role of wicked Sinestro. Directed by Martin Campbell, the film is scheduled to make its way out in U.S. theaters on June 17.
