Beckham's black Cadillac smashed into the back of another vehicle on Friday, May 6 morning, causing an injury to the other driver.
David Beckham's luxurious car bumped into the rear of a broken down car which was stalled in the carpool lane. The footballer and his eldest son Brooklyn fortunately escaped injury while the driver of the other car, a 40-year-old Los Angeles man, complaint of a neck pain and was taken to hospital.
The accident occurred on Friday, May 6 morning just shortly after 9, on the southbound 405 Freeway. Beckham and his son were heading for a training at the Home Depot Center which is located south of Artesia Boulevard in Torrance.
"This collision occurred when his [Beckham's] black Cadillac collided with the rear of a disabled gold Mitsubishi which was stalled in the carpool lane due to mechanical problems," a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman told Guardian. "The driver of the vehicle had a complaint of pain and was taken to hospital. David Beckham was not cited or arrested."
Beckham and Brooklyn reportedly were "shaken up" by the experience. The sportsman is expected to play for Galaxy against New York Red Bulls on Saturday, May 8 night in Carson. Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing.
