Katy Perry will appear on the stage of 'American Idol', singing her extraterritorial single as 'the queen of alien.'

In anticipation of Katy Perry's "E.T." performance on "American Idol" this coming Thursday, April 21, a video showing what to expect from the "California Gurls" hitmaker hits the web. The footage gives a look at the preparation made by her crew including her costume designers and her dancers.

They're going to bring what they did in the Floria Sigismondi-directed music video to life, creating a specially-designed alien costumes for the dancers. Also, "we kinda came with an idea to make crown for Katy. She's the queen of alien," said one of the crew. As for the dance moves, one of the choreographers stated, "We gotta make it bigger and better than anything anyone has ever seen before."

Beside Katy Perry's "E.T." performance, "American Idol" will also see its alum David Cook returning to the stage of the singing competition. The 2008 "Idol" winner is going to perform "The Last Goodbye", his brand new single from a forthcoming studio album "This Loud Morning".
