AceShowbiz - A new teaser trailer of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" hits the web. The fifteen-second preview features Caesar and other apes running on a roof of a building. The full trailer will arrive online on Thursday, April 14, at 12:01 A.M. PT/3:01 A.M. ET.

In addition to the preview, a live streaming video of behind-the-scene look at the movie has been released. 20th Century Fox hosted the event from New Zealand, and featured WETA visual effect experts discussing how they created the apes for the forthcoming film.

"Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

The Rupert Wyatt-directed film will feature the likes of James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, and Tom Felton. Written by Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Jamie Moss, the movie will make its way out in U.S. theaters on August 5.
