First Trailer for Tom Hardy's 'Warrior' Unleashed

The first trailer for the action drama movie features Tom confronting Joel Edgerton in a mixed martial arts tournament.


First trailer for "Warrior" has been released online. The preview, obtained via Apple, sees Tom Hardy fighting in a ring against Joel Edgerton. Another scene from the video also features Edgerton having his face painted by children.

The action drama movie tells a story about Tom Conlon, an ex-Marine who returns to his hometown of Pittsburgh. He enlists his father, a recovered alcoholic and his former coach, to train him for an MMA tournament awarding the biggest purse in the history of the sport. However, things go wrong when the tournament leads Tom to a collision course with his estranged brother, Brendan. The two must finally confront the forces that tore them apart in this Gavin O'Connor-helmed film.

In the forthcoming movie, Nick Nolte also stars as Paddy Conlon, while Jennifer Morrison plays Tess Conlon. Other stars supporting the project include Frank Grillo and Maximiliano Hernandez. The PG-13-rated film is slated to hit theaters across the nation on September 9.
