Mutilated bodies lying in the forest and a decapitated man are some of the things can been seen in the opening sequence of the upcoming drama series.
The first fifteen minutes of "Game of Thrones" have been made available for viewing pleasure ahead of its premiere. It has a gory scene where mutilated bodies are scattered on an icy land. Three men who ride into the forest are attacked by strange creatures with glowing blue eyes.
The next scene introduces the various members of the Family Stark. A man seen in the previous footage later appears again and it is known that he is a member of the Night's Watch who fled his post. Another bloody scene graces the screen as the man gets his death punishment.
"Game of Thrones" is based on epic fantasy series of the same name by George R. R. Martin. It is a tale of lords and ladies, soldiers and sorcerers, assassins and bastards, who come together in a time of grim omens. And it mainly chronicles battle for the throne of King Robert Baratheon of Westeros.
Sean Bean plays Eddard Stark, joined by Mark Addy as Robert Baratheon, Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jamie Lannister, Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo, Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister.
"Game of Thrones" pilot will be aired Sunday, April 17 at 9 P.M. on HBO.
