'The best detective teams in the history of television' are back working on several criminal cases including the investigation of a sinful priest played by Neal McDonough.
"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" includes familiar faces in its new promo for season 10. Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are back as Detective Robert Goren and his long-time partner Alex Eames at the behest of new Major Case Captain William Hannah.
D'Onofrio said goodbye to the show at the end of season 9 premiere. He agreed to finish the show for eight episodes since this would be the last season. The last time viewers saw of Goren was when his partner Eames received a promotion and she had to fire him. The two mutually agreed to leave the squad.
In this return, a friend of Goren since Academy days reinforces him and Eames to the squad where he has mandatory sessions with brilliant police psychologist Robyn Widrow. Among the characters found in this season are: "a beautiful female banker whose sole client was the Catholic Church; an adventuresome rogue who may be the country's best cyber-warrior; a woman who was blackmailing a wealthy, tabloid-fodder 'bad boy'."
Jeri Ryan will guest star as a former CIA agent who is tough but hides a secret. Neal McDonough has also signed up as a seemingly good member of the community but obviously has been up to bad things. "Law & Order: CI" returns May 1 on USA Network.
