The likes of Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid and Chris Klein are also expected to star in 'American Reunion' as Universal plans to bring back all cast members of the original 'American Pie'.

AceShowbiz - A new "American Pie" movie is on the way, and it will be a reunion for the original cast. Universal Pictures has tapped Seann William Scott, Jason Biggs and Eugene Levy to reprise their roles in the upcoming installment called "American Reunion".

Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Jennifer Coolidge are in negotiations to return to the fourth film as well. Moreover, Universal confirms that they plan to bring back all of the original "American Pie" cast.

The movie is reportedly scheduled to start shooting on March 24. Scott, who has one of the key roles, just checked himself into rehab earlier this week, but an insider tells TheWrap that his stint is not expected to affect the production.

Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, who write "Harold & Kumar" films, team up to write and direct "American Reunion", while Chris Moore and Craig Perry will produce. There has been no word on the storyline.

The first "American Pie" movie was released twelve years ago, or in 1999, followed with "American Pie 2" (2001) and "American Wedding" (2003). The three feature films grossed a total of nearly $755 million at the worldwide box office.
