David Archuleta has traveled to India for a charity event in late January. Photos from the 20-year-old singer's trip have recently hit the web, and they show him learning first hand what Rising Star Outreach's mission is. Washing an old man's foot and documenting an old lady's blood pressure are only some of the things he did.
The season 7 runner-up of "American Idol" traveled to the Asian country to help Rising Star Outreach celebrate World Leprosy Day, which was on January 31. Of the charity trip, he said, "It's really taught me a lot. I don't want to leave because it's really great to be around these kids and all these people."
During the trip, David traveled to a leprosy colony. He assisted the doctors with their work and inaugurated the Pathway of Hope, a granite lined pathway created with motivational inscriptions from fans. He also performed for and with the patients. Some of the songs he sang were "Angels" and "Crush".

David is AMAZING. He is the most talented artist in the world and the most genuine guy there is. His new album The Other Side of Down is sooooo great and deserves more publicity than it has gotten. I was just reading some of the other headlines and "Top Stories" on this website, and all I could think about was how David Archuleta puts Hollywood to shame.
