'It's a romantic story about a guy who has to win back his soul mate,' helmer Michael Sucsy gushes about the film based on a true story.
The first official look at Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in "The Vow" has landed online via Entertainment Weekly. It exposes a romantic scene in the film as the two stars are seen passionately kissing in the still.
But their characters' romantic life will not go smoothly. McAdams' Paige has been married to Tatum's Leo, a handsome, loving man, when she suffers a traumatic brain injury in a car accident and wakes up to find the past five years of her memories erased. Now she has no idea who he is.
"We really are the sum of our memories. When that's taken away, what do we have left?" director Michael Sucsy tells EW about the premise of the film which is based on a true story about newlyweds who get into a car accident two months after their wedding. "It's a romantic story about a guy who has to win back his soul mate."
Sucsy additionally teams up with Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein to write the script for "The Vow" which is going to be dropped by Screen Gems in U.S. cinemas on February 10, 2012.
