After title for "Spider-Man" reboot was announced, another movie has been officially given a title. E! Online reports on February 15 that "Sherlock Holmes" sequel will be called "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" when it hits theaters on December 16 and then Collider confirms the news.
This second "Sherlock Holmes" feature film adaptation from director Guy Ritchie still stars Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson respectively. Jared Harris is cast as villainous Moriarty, and Noomi Rapace is added to the cast ensemble to portray a new character. Words are, Rachel McAdams will reprise her role as Irene Adler but she may appear in a brief.
The story will follow Holmes as he continues his pursuit of Professor Moriarty who, if the investigator's instincts are correct, might be the world's first supervillain. Watson, meanwhile, is still trying to be a good partner to his love, Mary Morstan, while keeping Sherlock alive.
