FOX Wins Thanksgiving Night with 'The Simpsons Movie'

The TV premiere of the cartoon's movie owed it to NFL game between New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys in the afternoon.

The quiet Thanksgiving night gave the victory to FOX, thanks to its afternoon coverage of New Orleans Saints-Dallas Cowboys game that led to the broadcast premiere of "The Simpsons Movie". The network won with 7.6 million viewers and a 3.9 rating/8 share in primetime.

CBS was the runner-up with the repeats of "The Big Bang Theory", "$#*! My Dad Says", "Mike & Molly" and "The Mentalist". The Eye had an average of 6.87 million viewers in adults 18-49 demographic. ABC claimed the bronze with 4.43 million viewers despite its Beyonce Knowles special.
