Jolie says her co-star Johnny Depp plays a traditional leading man, while the actor explains the film is like an old-fashioned thriller with modern day and contemporary take.
Entertainment Tonight has got its hand on a new sneak peek to "The Tourist" starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. Beside taking fans to behind the scenes of the making for the action scenes the video also features interviews with the two main stars.
Depp, who claims the film is like an old-fashioned thriller presented with modern day and contemporary take, explains his character is "an everyman who is approached by this enchantress, this unbelievably beautiful, interesting, cultured vixen [Jolie's character] , and is taken on the ride of his life." Jolie adds that Depp's part in the film is a "more of a traditional leading man [role]".
While about her own character, the female lead says, "She's one of those women that lives in a world of quiet luxury and elegance. She's very much a lady, and who she is is a bit of a mystery that unfolds through the film."
In "The Tourist", Depp portrays Frank, an American tourist who visits Italy to mend a broken heart. After a flirtatious encounter with Jolie's Elise, Frank soon finds himself the pursued as he and Elise are caught in whirlwind of intrigue and danger. This Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck-directed movie is set to hit U.S. theaters on December 10.
