AceShowbiz - DreamWorks Pictures has dropped the first teaser trailer for "Cowboys and Aliens" via Yahoo! Movies. It follows Daniel Craig's Jake Lonergan who wakes up in the hard desert town of Absolution with no memory of his past. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist.
The people of Absolution don't welcome strangers and Jake becomes the hunted after he took down several men in order to escape. But when the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky, the stranger is their only hope for salvation. With the weapon in his hand and the help of the elusive traveler Ella (Olivia Wilde), Jake pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents-townsfolk, Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford) and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors-all in danger of annihilation.
Coming from the man behind "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2", Jon Favreau, "Cowboys and Aliens" also has Sam Rockwell, Noah Ringer and more joining the cast line up. This action fantasy movie is backed by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof who write the script with Steven Spielberg among the board of producers.
July 29, 2011 will be the day when this alien-meet-western movie lands on U.S. cinemas.
