AceShowbiz - The production of J.J. Abrams' super secret project "Super 8" is currently underway but the shooting in West Virginia itself is not that secretive as some local people manage to videotape the process. At least two set videos have been shared, showing the filming around a suburban neighborhood.
During the shooting this weekend, some vintage cars and military vehicles were brought to the set. Later, they filmed a military convoy which seemingly is targeting something as the actors who dress in military uniforms keep firing and exploding something in a distance while going down the street.
"Super 8" is said to revolve around three siblings who discover footage of an alien in some Super 8 footage they shot. Kyle Chandler and Elle Fanning are cast for main roles, with Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee and Zach Mills also announced to star in the film.
J.J. Abrams serves behind the lens and writes the screenplay, in addition to producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg and Bryan Burk. The sci-fi adventure flick is possibly targeted for summer 2011 release.
