After admitted to hospital on Sunday, September 26, the former 'Fugees' star is currently at his 'home recuperating' and is expected to 'back to work in about a week.'
Wyclef Jean is currently resting at his home following his recent hospitalization after suffering from "Stress and Fatigue". On Monday, September 27, his publicist Marian Salzman issued a statement, revealing "He has already been released and is at home recuperating."
"He will be back to work in about a week, and until then the family requests that he be allowed to genuinely rest," Salzman further stated. The publicist, however, didn't mention where Jean was hospitalized on Sunday, September 26.
Beside Salzman, the Jean family have also released a statement concerning the former The Fugees star's health status. "Wyclef Jean has had an extremely grueling three months - truly an exhausting eight months, since the earthquake when he recommitted himself to our homeland and his passion for our people," the statement read, referring to his Haiti's Presidential run which he dropped on September 21.
"He is currently suffering the effects of lack of sleep and stress, global travel, even the endless public eye, and has asked that his fans and supporters bear with him for the next several days as he regains his physical health and stamina," the statement further revealed. Once he regains his health, Jean "will be back out in front of the crusade to rebuild Haiti."
Wyclef Jean's hospitalization hit the media following a message posted on his Twitter page on Sunday. The post read, "Information from an inside source has confirmed @wyclef has been hospitalized due to Stress and Fatigue."
