Sharing the first footage from the film, the video also gives the first look at Matt Damon as the lawman and Josh Brolin as the killer.
Apple has got its hand on the first teaser trailer for "True Grit" from Ethan and Joel Coen. It is narrated by 14-year-old Mattie Ross, played by Hailee Steinfeld, who has just lost her father and is about to embark on "a great adventure".
She persuades aging U.S. marshal Reuben J. Cogburn, portrayed by Jeff Bridges, to help her track down her father's murderer in hostile Indian territory. Joining them on the journey is Matt Damon's La Boeuf, another lawman. A glimpse of Josh Brolin who stars as a drifter named Tom Chaney is also included in the trailer.
"True Grit" which is directed and written by the Coen brothers is another movie adaptation of a novel of the same title by Charles Portis. Ethan previously said that this new version will be more faithful to the novel than the 1969 film. Paramount Pictures will distribute it right on Christmas or December 25.
