The 56-year-old singer/songwriter filed the papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences and listing June 15, 2008 as the date of the separation.

AceShowbiz - Singer/songwriter Nancy Wilson and "Almost Famous" director Cameron Crowe are ending their 22-year marriage. People reported that on Thursday, September 23, Wilson filed for divorce from Crowe in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

In the legal papers, 56-year-old Wilson cited irreconcilable differences and listed June 15, 2008 as the date of their separation. She is also seeking joint physical and legal custody of their children and has asked the court for spousal support.

Wilson and Crowe walked down the aisle on July 27, 1986. On January 23, 2000, the couple welcomed twin boys, William James Crowe and Curtis Wilson Crowe. Wilson have composed music for some of Crowe's films including "Jerry Maguire", "Almost Famous", "Vanilla Sky" and "Elizabethtown".

Professionally, Wilson is known as the member of 70s rock band Heart. She has also made cameo in Crowe's "The Wild Life" and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Crowe, in the meantime, beside known as director, was also a contributing editor at Rolling Stone magazine.
