The first trailer for "The Fighter" has been made available for viewing pleasure via Apple. It gives preview to the early days of "Irish" Micky Ward and trainer-brother Dick Eklund on the rough streets of Lowell, Mass.
Ward enters the boxing ring in a bid to get money, but he is knocked down at the game. Losing faith on himself, he is convinced by people around him not to giving up. As Ward plans to take a second chance, his brother who has a battle with drugs drags him into a problem, making him to ditch Eklund from his career. But Eklund won't go away as he believes that Ward needs him to become a professional boxer.
Mark Wahlberg stars as Micky Ward while Christian Bale dropped some pounds to portray Dick Eklund. Amy Adams will be seen as Charlene, a tough gritty bartender who ends up dating Ward. The likes of Melissa Leo and Jack McGee are also cast in the movie, which is based on a true story. David O. Russell serves behind the lens for the drama which secures December 10 slot for U.S. release.
