Danny Boyle's '127 Hours' Premiered at TIFF, First Clip Arrives

James Franco, Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara make appearances at the special screening in addition to being featured in the snippet.

"127 Hours", Danny Boyle's next project after his Oscar-winning movie "Slumdog Millionaire", has been premiered at the 35th Annual Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday, September 12. The filmmaker along with cast members such as James Franco, Amber Tamblyn, Kate Mara and Clemence Poesy joined forces to support the screening at Ryerson Theatre in Canada.

Later on, the first clip from the movie hits the web. It sees two female hikers, portrayed by Tamblyn and Mara, who follow Franco's Aron Ralston to slide down between cliffs and plunge into water.

"127 Hours" is based on a true story of real-life mountaineer Aron Ralston who cut off the lower part of his right arm with a dull knife in order to free himself from a fallen boulder in a Utah canyon. Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers, family, and the two hikers he met before his accident.

Scripted by Simon Beaufoy and Boyle, the drama will get limited U.S. release on November 5.
