The promo video seems to emphasize that appearing in MTV Video Music Awards is like a dream comes true for Ke$ha.
Tapped as one of the presenters, Ke$ha is wearing panties and sleeping soundly in the latest promo for 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. The "Tik Tok" hitmaker then wakes up due to a thunderstorm and falls down neon rabbit hole to find herself landing in Hollywood.
"The concept ... is I wake up, like a pimp, and I hear some noise, and there's like a wind coming through my boudoir doors, and I run to see what it is, and I just get shoved out by this gust of wind that's supposedly 'fate'," she said. "Then, I start falling and falling through ... all of my experiences that got me to this point, which is attending the VMAs."
Ke$ha was strapped into harnesses to film the flying scene and she did her own stunt. Although admitting that it's "immensely painful," she said it was an okay. "I have used some harnesses before [on] my video for 'Blah Blah Blah.' ... I'm into it," she said.
A number of big stars have been lined up for this year's MTV VMAs and the list might grow with the addition of other presenters in the coming weeks. Aired live from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night, September 12 at 9 P.M. ET/PT, the show will have Kanye West, Drake, Justin Bieber, B.o.B, Usher, Paramore and Eminem among others to entertain audience.
The winners are going to be read by such presenters as Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Ashley Greene and Justin Timberlake. The whole event, meanwhile, will be led by comedienne Chelsea Handler who already made headline even before the awards show is kicked off by throwing idea of reuniting Kanye and Taylor Swift.
