Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez were delivered to The Orpheum Theater using the cars, while Danny Trejo opted to ride a motorcycle on his own.
Wednesday, August 25 has marked the world premiere of "Machete". The street in front of The Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles was closed for few hours when the film's cast were on their way to the venue with lowriders.
Jessica Alba, who looked stunning in her short metallic black and gold zigzag dress, arrived in an orange car. Her co-star Michelle Rodriguez, appearing in a rocker style, was delivered on a violet lowrider. Meanwhile, Danny Trejo rode a motorcycle on his own. The lead actor, who dressed to resemble his character in the film, was later sandwiched between the two actresses when posing for cameras.
Don Johnson, who wore a striped shirt topped with a black vest, also showed up at the special screening. Unfortunately, Lindsay Lohan, who was released from the UCLA rehabilitation center on Tuesday, August 24, skipped the star-studded event. However, producer Quentin Tarantino and director/writer/producer Robert Rodriguez still supported the premiere.
"Machete" centers its story on a Mexican ex-Federal agent Machete with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer and is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator. With the help of saucy taco slinger Luz, his "holy" brother Padre, and a socialite named April with a penchant for guns, Machete braves the odds while he is being tracked by Sartana, a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.
Steven Seagal, Robert De Niro, Jeff Fahey and Cheech Marin are additionally among the cast ensemble of the action crime thriller, which is going to open wide in theaters across the nation on September 3.
