Kristen Stewart has kicked off the principal photography of "On the Road" in early August and a picture from the set has surfaced, giving the unofficial first look at the lead actress. Portraying Marylou, the "Twilight" brunette sports blond wavy hair. She also goes old fashioned with a pink shirt and a maroon long skirt.
"On the Road" centers its story on aspiring New York writer Sal Paradise who, after the death of his father, meets Dean Moriarty, a young and dangerously seductive ex-con. They hit it off immediately. Determined not to get trapped in a narrow life, the two friends burn their bridges and hit the road: thirsting for freedom, they discover the world, others and themselves.
Sam Riley stars as Sal Paradise while Garrett Hedlund will portray Dean Moriarty, with other cast members including Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen and Amy Adams. Shooting for "On the Road" is planned to continue until the end of the year and take place in New Orleans, Mexico, Canada and San Francisco.
This drama is adapted from Jack Kerouac's legendary novel by scribe Jose Rivera. Walter Salles serves behind the lens for the upcoming 2011 release, which is produced by Rebecca Yeldham.
