Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes and More at 'The Other Guys' World Premiere

AceShowbiz - In anticipation of its U.S. release which will come in less than a week, "The Other Guys" took its cast and crew to New York City on August 2. The stars gathered at Ziegfeld Theatre to attend the world premiere of the movie.

Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes and Will Ferrell, who land roles in the film, joined forces to support the Monday's event. The on-screen wife of Ferrell was sandwiched between the two actors when posing on the carpet dominated in black.

Director Adam McKay later joined them before entering the venue. Samuel L. Jackson additionally showed up that night, accompanied by wife LaTanya Richardson. Scribe Chris Henchy also took his spouse Brooke Shields to the special screening.

Lindsay Sloane, Tess Kartel, Damon Wayans, Jr. and Steve Coogan were among other cast members who supported the event. Beside the cast and crew, a lot of celebrities such as Ice-T and wife Coco, Jimmy Fallon, Luis Guzman, Chris Bauer and Horatio Sanz also came as guests.

"The Other Guys" is set in New York City and follows two partnered NYPD detectives who work in the forensic accounting department and rarely see any action. But when an opportunity arises for Allen Gamble and Terry Hoitz to step up, things do not quite go as expected. This action comedy will open wide in U.S. cinemas on August 6.
