It's ABC and ABC Family's turn to present at the Television Critics Association tour. Held on Sunday, August 1, the presentation saw the attendance of the network's new stars such as Matthew Perry who will soon be seen on "Mr. Sunshine" and Dana Delany who is the lead star of "Body of Proof".

"Sunshine", a drama comedy, is following Perry's character as self-involved manager of a second-rate San Diego sports arena who begins to re-evaluate his life on his 40th birthday. "I like to say this character was me five years ago, before any enlightening could have come into my life," Perry said, adding "I was interested in doing a comedy again and interested in writing it [as well]."

Asked whether there would be any of his "Friends" castmate coming over, Perry said, "We're a little earlier in the process in terms of breaking stories and finding out who these characters will be. There's a lot of talk about 'will I ask some of my former castmates to be on the show' and I think ultimately, yes, but I in the beginning I want to convey to audiences that this is something new. I want to show these new people and what their lives are like."

Meanwhile over at "Body of Proof", Delany who plays a brilliant neurosurgeon turns body examiner, said she has a personal contact with the show. Her character Megan Hunt went through a big deal after a car accident, something that Delany also experienced last year when her car was struck from the passenger side by a bus. "The irony was when I got out of the car, the driver said, 'I know who you are. Can I have your autograph?' " Delany recalled.

Asked whether this full-time job means her time on "Desperate Housewives" expires, Delany said, "I had a ball on 'Desperate' for the last three years. And [creator] Marc Cherry said 'I don't want to get in the way of you being the lead of your own show. I wish you well and you're always welcomed back'."

"Mr. Sunshine" and "Body of Proof" will only premiere next year. The ABC presentation includes also "No Ordinary Family", "Detroit 1-8-7" and "My Generation" which will be the highlight of this Fall season.
