Opening the box containing the suit that he eventually is known for, Clark has to first deal with his own problems using the silver and black ensemble.
The CW has prepared another trailer for "Smallville" season 10 beside the one played during the San Diego Comic Con last Sunday, July 25. Dubbed "Takes Off", the trailer sees Clark opening the black box containing the red blue ensemble that Superman is famous for and him taking flight across the Daily Planet globe.
At the Con, writer Kelly Souders confirmed, "We will have a little bit of a wardrobe change." Brian Peterson also promised that fans will see Clark in the outfit. Rumor has it, the suit is the same one used by Brandon Routh in "Superman Returns", but actor Tom Welling admitted that he has not seen it.
Souders explained further about the relationship of Clark and the suit, "Before Clark Kent can really become Superman, he has to go through some trials and tribulations. The [black-and-silver] suit he's wearing reflected what was inside at the time." Asked if Clark will fly, Peterson said, "We all know how the comics turn out, so that answers that question."
"Smallville" returns September 24 for the tenth and final season.
