The President, who said previously that he sometimes watches 'Glee' and 'Mad Men', has no knowledge of who the star of 'Jersey Shore' is.
The historical episode of "The View" where on-duty President of United States Obama makes a visit has been given a preview. The President did not only discuss the heavy subjects such as the rose and thorns of the Office, like the one previewed in the video, but also talked light stuffs such as Snooki of "Jersey Shore".
According to the audience members who were present during the Wednesday, July 28 taping, the President smiled and said, "I'm sorry, I don't know who that is," when given the name of Snooki. Nella Cerminara, 51, of Montreal said as quoted by New York Daily News, "We all liked that he didn't know who she was."
The President is not all shunned from the entertainment world. Through his daughters, Malia and Sasha, he got to know Jonas Brothers and the cast of "Glee", the latter who were invited to perform at the White House's annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The President was also asked in the interview whether he would attend Chelsea Clinton's wedding this weekend. Obama started his answer with a joke, saying "You don't want two presidents at one wedding! All the Secret Service, guests going through (metal detectors), all the gifts being torn apart." Then he added, "I was not invited to the wedding ...because I think Hillary and Bill, properly, want to keep this thing for Chelsea and her soon-to-be husband."
Obama's visit which will be aired on Thursday, July 29 on ABC marks the first time in history of television that a sitting President appears on a daytime talk show. "He was a gentleman, very charming as usual," co-host Joy Behar said after the taping to CNN. "He seems at ease with whomever he is speaking to."
