'Transformers 3': Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Role and Final Scenes Revealed

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Shia LaBeouf

Michael Bay has spilled that the part filmed in Chicago will appear at the very end of the movie and feature the city which is under alien attack.

Since Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is confirmed to replace Megan Fox in "Transformers 3", she is only said to be new female lead but her specific role was not mentioned. TFW2005 recently visited the Chicago set of the film where the site found out that the character played by Rosie is named Carly.

In the animated series, Carly is described as the one who will eventually become Sam Witwicky's wife. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura himself has confirmed that "Rosie will definitely be [Shia LaBeouf's] love interest though."

In the meantime, Michael Bay has revealed the final scenes of the third "Transformers" film. Speaking to Chicago Sun-Times, the helmer says they are shooting in Chicago until the end of August and the footage filmed there will be featured as part of the closing sequence.

[SPOILER ALERT!] The Chicago footage "is at the very end of the movie and the city is under alien attack, so it's very critical and important to the film's climax," Bay explains. "Something very bad has happened to America - and this is at the very end of the movie."

Still related to the Chicago scenes, new pictures from the production held in the city have come out. The photos taken on Wednesday, July 21 capture Rosie as well as Shia and see some vehicles, which seem to have been exploded, scattered over the street.

The official storyline of "Transformers 3" has not been unveiled yet but Michael Bay has stated that Shockwave will be the major villain. Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson are among the original stars who return to the upcoming sci-fi, while John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Ken Jeong have just been added to the cast line up. This follow-up to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is set to arrive in the U.S. on July 1, 2011.
