The two actors were snapped wearing costumes of the Gotham's hero and his sidekick when filming the upcoming comedy on Saturday, July 17.
Russell Brand is going to transform into a superhero in his new film "Arthur". On Saturday, July 17, the lead actor was spotted slipping into Batman outfit when taking principal photography for the comedy in New York City.
Brand's Batman was not alone as another "Arthur" actor Luis Guzman was seen rocking the costume of Robin who is also known as Batman's sidekick. This sighting explains why Batmobile was spotted on "Arthur" set on July 8.
It is not clear, however, how Batman and Robin's appearances will relate to the storyline since in "Arthur", Brand plays a drunken, wealthy playboy who stands to gain a lot of money if marries the woman his parents want him to marry. Things get complicated when he falls for a woman who is of more modest means.
This Jason Winer-directed movie will serve as a remake to 1981 Dudley Moore-starring film of the same title. The new version has Jennifer Garner, Greta Gerwig, Helen Mirren and Nick Nolte supporting the cast ensemble.
