Alice Eve in Talks to Play Emma Frost in 'X-Men: First Class'

Though Rosamund Pike was previously rumored testing for the part, it is the 'Crossing Over' actress who is said in negotiations with Fox to take the role.

AceShowbiz - Alice Eve is circling a role in Marvel's film "X-Men: First Class". According to Deadline Hollywood, the "She's Out of My League" babe is in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to play Emma Frost in the upcoming movie.

Frost aka White Queen is an urbane, mutant telepath with a well-noted dry wit. She started out as an X-Men nemesis and became an ally. Not long ago, Rosamund Pike was rumored testing for the part but both the star and the studio have not commented on the report.

Eve was previously thrown as the possible depicter of Peggy Carter in "Captain America: The First Avenger". In the end, however, the role is snatched by Hayley Atwell. Eve who recently appeared in "Sex and the City 2" is set as the female lead in "The Decoy Bride".

So far, the officially announced actors for "X-Men: First Class" are James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender who are tapped to play Professor X and Magneto respectively. Matthew Vaughn is set to direct the film, which has June 3, 2011 as the U.S. release date.

The upcoming action sci-fi which will chart the epic beginning of the "X-Men" saga and follow Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr before they took the names Professor X and Magneto. Before they are archenemies, they were still close friends who worked together with other Mutants to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known.
