Universal Pictures has teased Zac Efron's fans with a new featurette from "Charlie St. Cloud". Debuted by Hulu, the video features the lead actor, who provides commentaries about the film and explains the storyline from his point of view, as well as some never-before-seen footage.
Efron explains he is excited to be involved in the upcoming movie because it's "different", claiming "It's a lot more adventurous and real". He later states the film has complete elements as it contains both romantic and supernatural things.
In the film, Efron plays accomplished sailor Charlie St. Cloud who has a bright future which is cut short when a tragedy that costs him his brother's life strikes and takes his dreams with it. As he meets high-school classmate Tess again and falls in love with her, Charlie is torn between honoring a promise he made four years earlier and moving forward with newfound love.
Amanda Crew stars opposite Efron as his on-screen lover, while Charlie Tahan and Kim Basinger play his little brother Sam and his mother Claire respectively. Burr Steers serves behind the lens for this drama, which is set for July 30 release in the U.S.
