Ever since being humiliated on national television by "The Bachelor" Jason Mesnick, Melissa Rycroft has been nothing but successful. Scoring a slot on "Dancing with the Stars" immediately after the show's season finale and a correspondent job on ET as well as "Good Morning America", the reject is now made a co-host of "Bachelor Pad".

The 27-year-old will share duties with "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison on the show's spin-off. "I'm excited. It's fun. It's a brand new experience for me. I've never been on that side but I'm anxious. I'm excited and ready to start," she told People.

"Bachelor Pad" will premiere on ABC on August 9 at 8/7c. It will feature previous contestants of "Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" living under one roof. The network has not released the identities of the contestants but promised that they are "some of the most unforgettable contestants and suitors." There will be a series of challenges with the prize of $250,000 and a chance to fall in love.

I love Melissa and wish her the best on The Pad. But I think ABC got it all wrong. Melissa and Tom Bergeron have incredible chemistry Melissa should co-host DWTS with Tom. And Brooke Burke who was simply pathetic on DWTS should be co-hosting Bachelor Pad. A lot of the antics like partying, drinking, bikinis, hot guys competitions, and cladestine hook ups are just like Brooke's "Wild On" show. The only thing "Wild On" didn't have was people who already have boyfriends and girlfriends competing for "hot dates." Sure would like to know what Campoli thinks about Gia being on the show.

ABC comes out with it's version of Big Brother by co-habitating former Bachelors and Bachelorettes together in a house. Nothing like a little champagne fueled hooking up to make for good prime time programming! Oh, but wait! There's More! Throw in shirtless hunks and bikini clad chicas competing for hot dates and covorting for the night vision cameras after hours, NOW we've got compelling prime time programming!?!? Seems like Brooke Burke would have been a better co-host since this seems like an episode of her old "Wild On" series. And Melissa Rycroft should be the co-host of Dancing With the Stars, she has much better chemistry with Tom Bergeron. Supposed to be a secret who is participating. However when Tenley, Gia, Kiptyn, Wes and others who normally post daily to Twitter and Facebook suddenly stopped with no explanation on Sunday either they were all kidnapped or they are in Pad. Producers should have let them post non-show stuff if they really wanted it to be a secret. And how do those who have boy friends and girl friends now explain competing for hot dates and the hot tup antics to the significant others? Guess money talks and integrity walks
