Alanis Morissette has gotten married to rapper Souleye, real name Mario Treadway, on Saturday, May 22. The happy couple, who started dating since October 2009, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their Los Angeles home with close friends and family witnessing the ceremony, Alanis' rep confirmed to Us Magazine.
The rep affirmed, "She did get married." Meanwhile, Alanis herself also took to her Twitter and Facebook page to announce the happy news. On Monday, June 7, the "That I Would Be Good" singer wrote, "Hi guys! So happy to share with you that my man Souleye and I got married. We're very excited to embark on this journey with each other....sending love...connect soon xo - Alanis."
It is the first marriage for both Alanis and Souleye. They exchanged vows a week before Alanis turned 36. Alanis was previously engaged to "The Proposal" actor Ryan Reynolds in 2004. However, the then-couple called off their engagement in February 2007.
