First Official 'Green Lantern' Promo Poster Comes Out

Featuring a circular symbol, the promotional one-sheet teases with a tagline mentioning, 'Anyone can be chosen.'

AceShowbiz - Warner Bros. Pictures has dropped the first official promotional poster for "Green Lantern". Assembling black and green as the dominant colors, the image sees a circular symbol which has symmetrical lines on top and bottom of it.

Additionally, the poster features a tagline which reads, "Anyone can be chosen", on top of it. Below the symbol meanwhile, there are the film's title and release schedule. But instead of including the exact date of next year's June 17, it only mentions summer 2011.

"Green Lantern" will see Ryan Reynolds playing the titular character. The movie centers its story on Hal Jordan, the alter ego of Green Lantern, who is also an ordinary man chosen by a dying alien named Abin Sur to receive a green energy-powered ring used for protecting the planet.

Blake Lively will play Carol Ferris who is also Jordan's love interest. Mark Strong and Peter Sarsgaard additionally join the cast ensemble to portray villainous characters Sinestro and Hector Hammond respectively. Directed by Martin Campbell, this movie adaptation of DC Comics' character is still in production.
