AceShowbiz - The nominations list of this year's BET Awards has been announced with Jay-Z scoring the most nods with five nominations. Following his domination are his singer wife Beyonce Knowles as well as fellow performers such as Alicia Keys, Trey Songz and Melanie Fiona with four gongs each.

Out of the five nods, Jay-Z faces off Beyonce in four fields, Best Collaboration, Viewer's Choice and Video of the Year. In the latest category, he gets double nominations; one for "Empire State of Mind" which features Alicia and the other for "Run This Town" which features Rihanna and Kanye West. He competes against Beyonce's "Video Phone" which features Lady GaGa, B.o.B's "Nothin on You" which features Bruno Mars and Melanie's "It Kills Me".

In Best Collaboration, Jay-Z and Alicia have to go head-to-head with Drake and Trey Songz's "successful", Trey and Fabolous' "Say Aah" and Drake's "Forever" which features Lil Wayne, Kanye and Eminem in addition to Beyonce's "Video Phone" and B.o.B's "Nothin on You". Moreover, he meets Beyonce, Trey and Young Money rappers again in Viewer's Choice battle and gets his fifth nomination in Best Male Hip-Hop Artist which has him battling against Drake, Fabolous, Ludacris and B.o.B.

Another nominee this year is Justin Bieber. The Canadian pop star is nominated for Best New Artist along with Melanie Fiona, Nicki Minaj, Wale and Young Money. "That was not a joke," BET executive Stephen Hill said in response to the nomination.

Two of the new categories this year are Best Movie and Young Stars Award. "Avatar", "Law Abiding Citizen", Michael Jackson's "This Is It", "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire" and "The Blind Side" are listed in the former category, while Selena Gomez, Lil JJ, Keke Palmer, Willow Smith and Tyler James Williams appear in the latter field.

The 10th Annual BET Awards will be hosted by Queen Latifah and broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 27. Drake, Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz and P. Diddy's Dirty Money are among performers line-up.
