On the heels of being named TV's second-highest earning teen, the 'iCarly' actress debuts her first studio album at No. 8 on Hot 200.
Actress-turned-singer Miranda Cosgrove put her singing skill to test when she recorded soundtrack for her TV series "iCarly" in 2007. And, she proved she got talent when she managed to crack the Top 10 of Billboard Hot 200 with her debut album "Sparks Fly".
Making its way out across the United States on April 27 this year, the album bowed at No. 8 on the U.S. albums chart with 36,000 units in its first week on sale. Additionally, the first single "Kissin U" which is produced by Dr. Luke peaked at No. 54 on Hot 100.
Beside landing a spot on Hot 200, Miranda Cosgrove has also made a name on TV's Highest Earning Teens list this year. She secured the runner-up position by earning $180,000 per episode in the Nickelodeon TV series, topping such Disney stars as Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.
Most recently, the depicter of Carly Shay was tapped to announce a winner at the 19th Annual MTV Movie Awards which will take place June 6 at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California. Joining her on the presenters line-up are Jessica Biel, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Jonah Hill, Russell Brand, P. Diddy and more.
